Aeropress Flow Control Filter Cap XL

Overview The Flow Control Filter Cap XL replaces the standard cap on your AeroPress XL and gives you a way to manage how fast water drips through the filter, or to stop it entirely. A flow restriction disk inside the cap is moved by an open/close tab on the outside. Close it and the chamber holds water for a full immersion steep with no premature drip; open it part way to control the rate as you press. This makes it easier to dial in longer steep times, brew cold brew concentrate, or pull an espresso-style concentrate for lattes and cappuccinos. How it differs from the standard Flow Control cap The original AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap uses a pressure-actuated valve: it blocks drip-through on its own and opens only when you press. The XL cap instead uses a disk you adjust manually with the tab, so you can choose anything from fully closed to fully open rather than relying on a fixed valve. One safety note worth knowing: never press while the tab is in the closed/locked position, as the chamber is sealed. The two caps are not interchangeable, and the XL cap fits only XL-size brewers and XL-size filters.
